The three cricket formats and the tournaments you can bet on
The first step to understanding cricket betting is knowing the formats. Each format has a different pace of play, so the markets and odds differ too.
20 overs per team — fast-paced game with the most betting markets.
50-over one-day match — a longer contest, popular for run line betting.
Five-day match — a draw is possible, so there are three possible results to bet on.
Main Tournaments
- BPL — Bangladesh Premier League, the country's biggest franchise tournament in T20 format.
- IPL — India's Indian Premier League, the most-watched T20 league in the world.
- T20 World Cup — ICC's biennial international tournament, a special occasion for the Bangladesh Tigers.
- ICC International Series — bilateral ODI and Test series running throughout the year.
Betting on cricket, football and other sports — what sets them apart
At bazi you can bet on cricket as well as football and a few other sports. The nature of betting varies quite a bit from one sport to another.
A cricket match can take anywhere from a few hours to five days to complete. Over such a long period, pitch conditions, weather, and wickets all affect the market. Odds shift repeatedly, making live betting far more active.
Football usually produces a result within ninety minutes. A draw is a separate outcome, so the 1X2 market has three possibilities. T20 and ODI cricket don't end in draws — one of the two teams wins — though a draw is possible in Test cricket.
Betting on Kabaddi or other sports is less common, and there are fewer markets available. Cricket has the widest variety of markets — from the toss right through to the result of each individual over. That is what has made cricket betting so popular in Bangladesh.
Beyond sports, bazi also has casino games. At bazi casino you'll find everything from live casino to slots all in one place.
Popular cricket betting markets — how they work
At bazi you can bet on multiple markets within a single match. Below are the seven most common markets and a plain-language explanation of how each one works.
Match Winner
Who will win the match — this is the simplest market. Pick either Team A or Team B. T20 and ODI don't end in draws, so there are only two options.
T20 ODI TestToss Winner
Who will win the coin toss before the match starts. This is a 50/50 market — odds for both teams are usually equal. The result is separate from the match outcome.
Pre-MatchTop Run Scorer
Which batter will score the most runs in the match — each batter in a team has their own odds in this market. The team's main batter usually has lower odds.
Individual PerformanceOver / Under (Total Runs)
The bookmaker sets a specific run total. You bet on whether the total runs scored in the match will be more than that number (Over) or fewer (Under). Example: if the line is set at 160 runs, you can bet "Over 160" or "Under 160".
Run Line T20Wicket Markets
You can bet on which bowler will take the most wickets in the match, or whether the total number of wickets will be above or below a given number.
Bowling PerformanceMulti Bet (Multiple Selections)
Combine multiple matches or events into a single bet. If all selections are correct, the odds are multiplied together for a larger return — but if even one selection is wrong, the entire bet is lost.
Combination Higher ReturnHandicap Betting
When one team is a clear favourite, the bookmaker adds or subtracts a run or wicket advantage (the handicap) to level the playing field between the two sides. You bet based on the adjusted result, not the actual match result. This can sometimes produce good odds on the match underdog as well.
Decimal, fractional and American odds — all three formats explained together
Odds at bazi may be shown in three formats. All three mean the same thing — only the way they are written differs. The examples below make it easy to understand.
Example 1 — Team A to win, stake ৳500
All three are the same odds. If the bet wins, total return is ৳1,500 (৳1,000 profit + ৳500 original stake). If the bet loses, ৳500 is gone.
Example 2 — Team B is the favourite, stake ৳500
Team B is the favourite, so the odds are lower. On a ৳500 stake the total return is ৳900 (৳400 profit). American minus odds (-125) show how much you need to stake to make a profit of 100 taka.
In a multi bet the odds of each selection are multiplied together. For example, if you bet on three matches at odds of 1.40, 1.70 and 1.80, the combined odds are 1.40 × 1.70 × 1.80 = 4.28 (approximately), giving a return of ৳428 on a ৳100 stake — but all three selections must win; if even one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Quick rules for reading odds
- Decimal odds × stake = total return (including profit).
- Fractional: left number = profit, right number = stake.
- American (+): profit on a 100-taka stake.
- American (−): amount you need to stake to make 100 taka profit.
- All three formats express the same value.
Betting while the match is on — odds shift with every wicket
On top of pre-match betting, bazi lets you place live in-play bets while a match is in progress. This is one of the most engaging aspects of cricket betting — because as the situation changes, so do the odds, moment by moment.
Say Team A is batting and the opening partnership has made a strong start — their odds of winning will shorten while Team B's odds will lengthen. Then if three quick wickets fall, the odds can swing back the other way.
The most common markets in live betting:
- Runs in the next over (Over / Under)
- Whether a wicket will fall off the next ball
- How many runs the next batter will score
- What the total score will be at the end of the innings
- Who will win the remaining overs of the match (including revised targets)
In live betting you have less time to decide — odds move fast. Set your budget beforehand and avoid rushing your decisions.

Practical tips for cricket betting
- Start with one format. T20 is the shortest and the Match Winner market is easy to understand — begin there.
- Check pitch conditions and weather. Rain or a slow pitch gives spinners an advantage, which means fewer runs — keep this in mind when choosing Over/Under markets.
- Don't rely too heavily on the Toss market. The toss result is completely random — it's there for entertainment, not as a strategy.
- Keep your multi bet selections small. Adding more than three or four selections reduces the chance of all of them coming in.
- Set your budget first. Decide how much you'll stake on each match beforehand and don't increase it based on how things are going.
- Betting is entertainment, not a source of income. Cricket betting adds to the enjoyment of watching the game — treat it that way.
- Avoid rushing in live betting. Odds move fast, so make your decisions with a clear head.
